Claudy (St Patricks) Roman Catholic Churchyard
Located near the centre of the village of Claudy in County Londonderry, this church and land has a long history possibly dating back to pre-1400’s when it is said that a church had been standing at the old site which is located just outside the village. It was built on the ruins of an even older one and it is said that this is one of seven churches built by St Patrick along the river Faughan.
The present church though is on a newer site and the current building only dates to 1820 when it was built on the site of another St Patrick’s Church at the cost of £500. There is one Great War burial is located here.
