Gunner Alexander Cusick was a married man from Dundee in Scotland.
Alexander served with the 133 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery as a gunner and instructor. At the time they were based in Portadown, Northern Ireland. The regiment would not go into a conflict zone until 1944.
Unfortunately, Alexander had TB[1] and his condition had worsened when he was sent to the 24th London Hospital in Belfast. He was later moved to Long Tower in Londonderry where he passed away in the presence of his brother-in-law.
