Dornan, G (George)
Private George Dornan was the husband of Sarah Dornan, of 10, Stanleys Walk, Londonderry.
George died of wounds in the Military Hospital, York It is unknown what happened to him. The war would end just 8 days later during the 11th of November 1918.
A Remount Squadron was responsible for supplying horses to other army units. They had approximately two hundred men who looked after five hundred horses.
He was awarded the 1914/15 Star, the British War and Victory Medals. His widow Sarah applied for them on the 27th of July 1927. Unfortunately, no further information at present.
