Mawdsley, J D (John Dale)

Mawdsley, J D (John Dale)
Able Seaman John Dale Mawdsley was the son of Thomas William and Janet Calder Mawdsley, of Bootle, Lancashire; husband of Edna Johnson Mawdsley, of Fazakerley, Liverpool.
John passed away after suffering from tuberculosis[1] and broncho pneumonia in the Waterside Military Hospital, Londonderry.
H.M.S. President III was a land base, and it was situated in Bristol, Windsor, and London. It seems likely that Able Seaman Mawdsley was linked to the base because he was either about to be posted, was in between posting, or was transferred due to his illness.
