Corporal William Tait was the son of Clarke and Matilda Jane Tait, of 224, Stobcross St., Anderston, Glasgow. He was born in Limavady.
William passed away in Finner camp. He passed away after suffering from Epileptic fit at the Military Hospital, Victoria Barracks, Belfast.
Unable to confirm, but William’s service number is listed as belonging to the 10th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. It does not seem though that he went to France with them possibly due to illness or an accident.
Unfortunately, no further information at present.
Date of Death: 23/10/1916 (Aged 22)
Service: Corporal, 12th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and possibly the 10th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
