Tamlaghtard (St. Caden) Churchyard

A church in this area is said to have been founded by St. Patrick and built by St. Columcille. Its ruins lie nearby at St. Aiden’s Roman Catholic Church, that site itself having been gifted to the Catholic Church when St. Caden’s was completed during 1787 by the Earl Bishop of Derry. The Chancel and vestry were the last parts to be added during 1854. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1914-1918 war here.
