Able Seaman Arthur Hall was the son of William C. Hall and Mary M. Hall, of Garstang, Lancashire.

He was suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis[1] and passed away in the Military Hospital in Londonderry from this.

Arthur served on the submarine H.M.S. H43,[2] which had an uneventful war, finally being sold for scrap during 1944.

Unfortunately, no further information is available.

Burial Location: Londonderry (or Derry), City Cemetery, C. of E. Plot. Sec. F. Grave 13.


[1] Pulmonary tuberculosis, sometime known as TB, which leads to wasting away of the body.

[2] Submarine H43, had gone into service in 1919. It was one of the older types still on active service during World War 2 and was finally sold for scrap in 1944.
