Hall, A E (Albert Edward)
Petty Officer Stoker Albert Hall was the son of Ellen and James Hall and was born in Liverpool on the 26th February 1881.
Albert joined the Royal Navy during February 1906 and served on several ships throughout his career finishing on H.M.S. Ossory.[1]
Around the 12th of August 1917 he became ill and was sent to the Waterside Hospital in Londonderry.
For fourteen days, he would suffer before succumbing to catarrhal inflammation[2] caused by an infection. His age was 34 at the time of his death not 32 as officially listed.
Albert was awarded the 1914/15 Star, the British War, and Victory Medals.

[1] H.M.S. Ossory was an M-Class Destroyer and would survive the war before being sold for scrap in 1921.
