Lieutenant Cornelis Hos was Married and from Blenheim, Holland.

Cornelis’s official date of death is wrong, it is 3 days earlier on the 15^th of July 1942. It seems that on that day for no apparent reason he put his gun to his head and took his own life on-board ship and at sea.

His ship, Hr.Ms. Tjerk Hiddes (or HM Neth. S. Tjerk Hiddes) had just been commissioned at the beginning of the month into the British Navy and was readying itself for convoy duty with convoy WS21P.

Cornelis is listed on the Dutch memorial in London.
