Miller, P J (Patrick Joseph)
Sergeant Patrick J. Miller was the son of Joseph and Mary A. Griffiths, of 1 Donegal Place, Londonderry. He served with the Royal Air Force, 502 Squadron.
On the 7th of December 1940 during extremely bad weather conditions an Armstrong Whitworth Whitley V[1] crashed on landing at Ballykelly airfield at 18:50.
Other casualties of flight were Flight Lieutenant Charles W. Rees,[2] Flying Officer Michael L. Worthington,[3] Sergeant William A. Adams[4] and lastly Sergeant V.S. Brown, who survived although, wounded.
Sergeant Patrick J. Miller’s funeral was held on the 10th of December 1940.
