Stoker Michael Warren was the son of John and Mary Warren; husband of Mary Agnes Warren, of Smethwick, Staffordshire.

Michael passed away after contracting pneumonia and chronic bronchitis in the Watersides General Hospital. He had an address at 31 Duke Street, Londonderry and is listed as working as a night watchman at the time of his death.

H.M.S. Ferret[1] was the land base in Lisahally, Londonderry and was established in 1940 to allow quick access to the North Atlantic for ships to give convoy support.

The base also had large maintenance areas for repairs of damaged vessels and upgrades.

H.M.S. Ferret famously received the surrender of sixty U-Boats at the end of the war (1945) and remained in service until 1947. No further information is available at present.
