Oliver, R A (Robert Alexander)
Private Robert Oliver was a married man, he had served for twelve years in the Royal Irish Fusiliers prior to the war and had only re-joined a week prior to his death. Robert had also served with the “B” Specials[1] in the RUC,[2] Coleraine.
Unfortunately, Robert passed away suddenly from a heart attack in Hollywood Military Barracks, not long after starting his training.
He was accorded a full military funeral.
